Thank you for reaching out to us. I would recommend doing a factory reset on your piano. It is possible that the piano has gotten transposed up or down a few semitones and is sending out a different MIDI signal from the one it normally would. Thank you for reaching out to us. I apologize, we do not have any notifications that say a device isn’t supported by Piano Marvel. Can you please send me a screenshot of the notification? I wonder if the notification said “This Accessory is not Supported” which would mean that the adapter you are using is not an Apple-supported adapter. I prefer to use Apple-branded adapters because they are so proprietary regarding what they will allow the device to work with. You can also email us directly at contactus@pianomarvel.com.

I have the exact same issue as described by Amanda (Yamaha P-71). I am using the App on a brand new iPad (that I bought specifically for Piano Marvel, so would be very disappointed if it didn’t work…).

When I first attached the iPad to the keyboard, it detected the first note and said “Connected”, then it switched to “your keyboard is not supported by Piano Marvel” or something similar. Now the app just shows the option to use book mode, I cannot even get back to the option to connect a device. I have tried connecting another keyboard that I have used with Piano Marvel before, but the app only offers the book mode option.

Do you have any suggestions?

The Sight-reading Samurai requires a MIDI connection to move on, but the Piano Marvel sight-reading book in the library is the same materials but does not have a score requirement to open the next piece. Tuesday I launched PM and there was no accompaniment music playing at all. There have been no changes to my PC. I can hear the count-in, metronome and PM’s virtual piano but no musical accompaniment. If I lower the instrument volume to Off I can hear my digital piano as well, which is how I usually practice. All of my other music and piano related software work without issue.

I’ve updated both of my browsers, Google Chrome and Firefox to their latest version, Firefox is the browser I normally use with PM. I’ve uninstalled then reinstalled the PM plug-in and was already using the latest version, restarted my PC several times as well as the PM plug-in to no avail.

My system consist: Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x64), 32GB RAM, Intel i7-4770K CPU, Yamaha P-255 digital piano connected to a Creative EMU 0404 PCI sound card via straight MIDI cable, no drivers necessary. Years ago I used to use the Yamaha UX16 MIDI to USB cable and still have the Yamaha drivers installed but they’ve posed no problems after switching to the straight MIDI cable.

It is now Friday and I still have no musical accompaniment. I am out of ideas as far as troubleshooting to correct the problem, any suggestions?

All was working fine yesterday, I launched PM today and encountered this issue. I have not updated any Windows, Creative or Yamaha drivers and all other DAW’s and virtual piano apps work fine. Not sure why this is happening, any suggestions?
