He is a faculty member and judge for the National Guild of Piano Teachers In 1983 he was listed in the Most Prominent Educators of Texas. Glen has judged extensively for the National Guild of Piano Teachers, having judged in Hawaii, Mexico, and twice in Taiwan. In 2015 he judged in Qindau, China. He has judged many festivals and competitions, including the prestigious Kappa Kappa Phi Solo and Ensemble Competition. He is student oriented, starting where you are and move forward, developing your piano skills in a progressive order. He encourages all students to have Piano Marvel. It speeds up excellence in sight reading, accuracy of notes, accuracy of rhythm with a steady progress at the student's individual learning pace. All genre's are available!

DEGREES, CERTIFICATES, AND CREDENTIALS

R. Glen Wester received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Midwestern State University and his Master of Music Education degree from University of North Texas. He is nationally certified by the National Association of Music Teachers and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. In 1993 he was chosen Teacher of the Year by the Pasadena Music Association. He is a member of the Guild Hall of Fame. He is a reviewer for the Guild for newly published piano music. Glen is a member of Houston Music Teachers Association, Pasadena Music Teachers Association, and San Jacinto Federated Music Clubs. His students have won high honors in various competitions.
